Barron serves as President/CEO of ALTRES Inc., which was founded by his father in 1969. He joined the company in 1980 and expanded ALTRES from a provider of temporary and full-time personnel to the PEO service model.

Barron serves on the NAPEO board and has served in several community and school organizations including Parents and Children Together (PACT), the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii, Blood Bank of Hawaii, Adopt-A-Platoon, Academy of the Pacific, Academy of Model Aeronautics, the Rotary Club and Temple Emanu-El.
